Baggy Pants are fun, quality leisure daywear, comfortable enough to be addictive. My most important work is in choosing fabrics that are both unique and shockingly pleasant to wear. Cozy flannels and cool cottons are shaped into pants with an elastic waist and drawstring. The kick? They come with their own matching bag.

The whole family loves to wear their own baggy pants. From tiny newborns to the big XXL man, my thirteen sizes will fit most everyone.

Baggy Pants have been handmade in my Muskoka studio since the fall of 2002. I sell at craft shows from the Near North to the GTA, via my web site and to repeat customers who love the quality and style.

Born and raised in The Beach in Toronto, I was educated in Design at The Ontario College of Art and Design.

I grew up cottaging in Muskoka and since 1997 I have made Muskoka my permanent home. This is where I live with my family and where Baggy Pants was born.

About the Product

I came up with the basic design for Baggy Pants in 2001 and this does not change. I wanted a pant that would be comfortable and baggy enough for everybody. So the design of the pant came first, then I developed the concept of the matching bag.

The first step in working on a new season’s line is to shop for fabric. To me, this is the most vital part of the procedure. I spend a terrific amount of time researching new fabrics and creating the colour and pattern combinations that make every season unique.

After purchasing, I bring the fabric back to the sewing studio where each pair is cut and assembled. Then each pair needs to be buttonholed and the drawstrings are threaded through by hand. The bags are made by the same process of cutting, sewing and threading drawstrings.

Next, each pair is folded, rolled and inserted into the matching bag and tied. Then I tag each pair and mark it by size. Now, they’re ready to go into my handmade wooden display boxes and my pants and I hit the road to customers and shows around Ontario.
